delivery market.Parcelpoint has built a network of about 1100 convenience
stores in every Australian capital to act as delivery points for online purchases .
Parcelpoint’s key customer segment is the busy professional who loves to purchase online but who cannot be at home to receive deliveries or go to nearest Australia Post offices to collect delivery as they work only in weekdays from 9 am – 5 pm.
In this model, a small fee is charged to online purchaser and the retail convenience stores are then reimbursed a fee for every parcel processed. This model has found great success and has also been recommended to Australia’s productivity commission as Innovation to improve e-commerce.
